Residence Inn by Marriott Gaithersburg Washingtonian Center

This was good value for money. It’s next to The Rio and is cheaper than other Residence Inns or equivalent hotels in the area. The staff from September and October 2025 were also great, would get to know you, and could accommodate requests like asking for a repair. They also were very good about greeting you. Freddie, among others, was outstanding, with an old-school grace and courtesy mixed with efficiency. The fireplaces were also great in cold weather.

I've always enjoyed the spacious suites at the Residence Inn. This one at the Washingtonian is no exception. The room come with comfortable bed and pillow, plenty of space, decent HVAC control, and a nice kitchenette. I especially like the kitchenette since I eat a mostly plant-based diet, and the kitchenette has everything I need to prep my meals. The toilet size is for adults, so that's good. The shower design is a bit dated, with shower curtains that don't adequately keep water inside the tub - but that's just a minor inconvenience compared to my overall experience. The front desk service was great. I appreciated Jacqueline's quick, friendly, and professional help checking me in and with other questions throughout the week. The breakfast bar is smaller than other Residence Inn locations. I've been to Fairfield Inn locations with a better spread than here. Still it has enough to satisfy most people. If you want a plant-based meal, your options are oatmeal (they had oat milk available ), or toast and jelly. Not sure about the waffle ingredients. The location is fantastic, just a short walk to the Rio boardwalk with tons of shopping snd dining options, or just a nice place to take a scenic and relaxing stroll. I'll be back again and again.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff was incredibly helpful, assisting us in finding a room close to the exit, which made it convenient for our dogs to go outside quickly. The entire place was spotless and cozy, and the breakfast offered an excellent variety of delicious options. The neighborhood is super nice, with plenty of great spots to grab food nearby. Highly recommend!

Excellent Residence Inn! I was here for a weekend with my wife’s family, and even though the property is dated, the staff are excellent and responsive! The Front Desk and breakfast staff are excellent! Would ABSOLUTELY recommend to family and friends!

No complaints about the hotel. Nice stay. I didn’t like that we had to pay for parking in their parking lot. And when I checked in I was given a room key that didn’t work so I had to go all the way back to the front desk to get it sorted out. Bummer because I had to pee sooo bad after a long drive. Turns out the room was under repair. They assigned me a new room and I ended up using the bathroom in the lobby. Nice spread for breakfast too.

Wasn't very pleased with the breakfast. On the 2nd day they ran out of the hot food prior to the cutoff time and even though several people asked for the food nothing was brought out. Lots of folks were not happy

This is one of the best hotels I've stayed in. The staff are pleasant, nice and helpful. The rooms are very large, beautiful. Parking area is very big. Highly recommended.

Great hotel. Nice rooms. Would have been 5 stars but fire pit wouldnt light. We asked the lady at the front desk for help she said maintenance would be "right there" but never came. Would be nicer if the house keeping and maintenance staff spoke english
